Paul Pavlov honored with the AO Recognition Award 2010

The AO Recognition Award is the most prestigious prize awarded by the AO Foundation for life-time achievement. This year’s recipient Paul Pavlov from Nijmegen, The Netherlands received the AO Recognition award for his exceptional contributions to the development of new treatment options in spine surgery, and his leadership in the AO TK System and the AOSpine Specialty. The prize has been awarded only 8 times since its inception 18 years ago and recent recipients include Jörg Auer (2008) Ted Hansen (2006) and Stephan Perren (2004). |

AOSpine Principles Course - New Delhi and Hyderabad, India

The AOSpine Principles Course was held from 4 – 6 July 2010 in New Delhi and from 8 – 10 July 2010 in Hyderabad. This highly specialized course was aimed at resident surgeons at the final stages of their orthopedic or neurosurgical training, and practicing spine surgeons with up to 3 years of clinical experience. The lecture topics included spinal trauma and degenerative conditions of the cervical and lumbar spine with special emphasis on patient assessment, patient selection, surgical techniques, and complications of surgical treatment. |
