AOSpine is an international community of spine surgeons, orthopaedic surgeons, neurosurgeons, academics, researchers, and other spine care professionals dedicated to delivering knowledge, experience, and evidence to improve patient care and outcomes.
Education Each year, AOSpine runs over 120 educational events in various formats, covering all aspects of spine surgery and reaching out to surgeons at every stage of their career.
AOSpine educational events—such as courses, symposia, and academic congresses—provide an opportunity for hands-on learning, along with constructive discussions with faculty and colleagues in a stimulating environment that is representative of the community of AOSpine.
Research Our goal is to perform elaborate research—from experimental to clinical studies. AOSpine leads the global spine care community by fostering innovation and evidence-based clinical practice. Understanding of current and future scientific directions, and initiating research and guidance for the best in class education are driven by working groups (Global Knowledge Forums have been established for clinical research in the field of Tumor, Spinal Cord Injury and Deformity and a Spine Research Network has been established focusing on Intervertebral Disc research).
Community Development AOSpine encourages every member to get involved by contributing their invaluable knowledge and experience. Members of this prestigious community can take advantage of AOSpine's Membership benefits that include access to Evidence-Bases Spine-Care Journal and the CaseBase.
In this way, the largest global spine care community grows and enriches itself in terms of skills, understanding, and professionalism. As a consequence, AOSpine members can advance their own research projects or improve patient care through knowledge sharing and access to state-of-the-art information.
Vision AOSpine—the leading global academic community for innovative education and research in spine care, inspiring lifelong learning and improving patients' lives.
